| Customer Reviews: Great looking chair...much less expensive than local stores August 19, 2010 Joey Wiggins This chair looks great in my home office. It was a deal at half the price of the local furniture stores, and is quite comfortable. The chair is substantially larger than I expected, but that is a positive thing as it looks very grand. I had a great purchase experience with VisionDecor and they were very helpful and accomodating with my purchase.
You'd Better Have a Large Desk in a Large Room August 2, 2010 D M Stark (Bay Area, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this chair because I liked how it looked in the photo. I admit they post its dimensions, but I didn't take out my tape-measure to determine how big this thing is. And it dominates my small den. It looks like a throne, and pretty silly for it. But it does appear to be well made, and it's pretty comfortable. It's upholstered in bi-cast leather, so it's easy to clean. But the leather looks shinier and cheaper than it does in the photo.
The upper part of the back of the chair curves back, and looks in the picture to be a handy head-rest, but your head can't reach back there; your lower torso is being pushed too far forward. I'm going to experiment with different pillows to see if I can create a headrest.
But despite all the above shortcomings, I'm not going to return it. All these furniture stores that sell through Amazon want about 20% for "restocking." I realize they have to pay someone to open the returned box and see if everything is there and then to repack everything, but I have to add the hassle of disassembling and repacking this stuff myself, and getting it shipped, and then add the cost of shipment. And does it really take them five time as long to repack a $500 item as a $100 item? I think that 20% charge is not there to be fair with us but just to discourage us from returning an item.
And they want the item returned in its original carton. "Do not use a knife" is printed all over the carton. So what's the alternative? You rip the box apart. Then if you decide to return the item, the box is now unreturnable.
Unexpected good! July 31, 2010 Ragman50 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had shopped all around for an executive chair before deciding on this one and frankly, when I saw this chair and the write up I didn't expect much. The price was what decided me. It was on sale! But when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised! REAL PRODUCT. No pressed wood or particle board! No metal alloy! REAL METAL AND REAL WOOD! The chair is comfortable and the assembly is simple and quick.
My only issue is with the casters. They're a lightweight plastic but time will tell whether they will hold up. I would definitely recommend the product.

It is a beautiful, comfortable chair that was so easy to assemble. The only problem is when I took it out of the box, I noticed on the arm, the finish was scratched in a very prominent spot. It was very disappointing. But, unfortunately, something I would learn to live with.
